Garuda Design Pital Puja Ghanti
A Ghanti is an Indian bell used in Hindu rituals. The same term is also used to describe Buddhist bells. The bell is generally made out of brass. A clapper is attached to the inside and the bell makes a high-pitched sound when rung.
A pooja bell is an indispensable pooja accessory for any pooja-ghar or temple. It is rung to awaken the god or goddess and symbolize the beginning of the worship, let the deity know the worshipper is ready to worship them. Handheld bells are held in left hand and rung continuously while the various other Puja items are offered to God with the right hand. This practice is not only endemic to India but is spread throughout most regions of Asia and other religions in the area. The therapeutic sound of bells is a soothing break from the otherwise raucous cacophony of sounds that surround us.
